As of today we still have Mouse, Mr. Boots and Truffles.. We have added a new kitty "Glitch" and we have lost a few. Our latest loss was Kiki on 17 Oct. 2009 just 2 weeks shy of her 17th birthday.

I been rescued.. My new meowmie brought me home (about a month ago) after someone, she thinks, dumped me.. or I wandered off .. it's quite a trip to the closest house though from where she found me.. I was soooooooooooo hungry! I had to run to the bowl she left for me everytime someone came in the room. I was afraid they would take it away. They were keeping me in their bedroom for a couple of weeks. I got my own bed and toy and one of those cardboard scratchy things that I know how to use. Then one day I got to wonder out into the rest of the house.. Hummmm they got a cat door (they didn't know I knew what it was).. I tried it and was gone for a week but I got REALLY hungry so I came back.. and dang it you know what they did? They keep the cat door closed now! She said something about a "Vet" not sure I know what that is.. but thinking it might be good cause she says "maybe" I can go out after I see this "Vet". She lets the other kitties go out so I should be able to go out too. When I get annoying she puts me in the garage.. I remember when I returned the door was open but here again she keeps it closed to everytime I try to run out into the garage.

Hemingways House

Dark - Trip to vet.

I had to go to that dreaded 3 letter word.. you know where I mean!.... THE VET eeeek Meowmie found me out laying on the deck gasping for air.. She brought me in the house and I colasped on the floor so daddy shoved me in one of those boxes and my meowmie put me in a bigger box they call a car and rushed me to the VET eeeek they had to stick that dreaded needle in me and sucked out some more goop from my chest again .Did I mention before I HATE needles!.. Now I have on this silly looking bandaid and it's pink! The nurse says it's red but I say its pink! Now i'm home and dang it! Mom shut off the cat door I CAN"T GET OUT!

Truffles Went Missing

Truffles our Persian disappeared on Sunday night 6-3-2007. Monday a neighbor said he found him on his porch.. About a 1/2 a mile away. This morning around 6 a.m. Truffles was at our back door. We don't know how he made it back with out getting lost in the woods, but he did. He was so tired he has been sleeping ALL day. We are so glad to have him back!

What we been up to..

Opps I have been slacking a little I guess on my blog.. Kitties got moved OK but last May 2006 we lost 2 of them (Minnie and Sassea) Minnie by a coyote and Sassea just vanished, possible coyote got her too. Dark got hurt too, internally during this same time, 1 of his lungs totaled deteriated so we had a few big scares with almost loosing him to "Rainbow Bridge" but he pulled through. Now today Truffles is missing.

All the cats are laying around me afraid I may leave without them I guess.. but that's not likely to happen... I still try to keep up there normal routines through all the caos box cleaning and normal feedings a little TV time and some playtime for those who like to play.

Well all the cats are now freaking out.. we have been packing up our stuff to move.. and no one but maybe Kiki has a clue to what is going on.. 4 of these cats have never really had another home (Dark, Minnie, Mouse and Sassea). Mr. Boots just goes with it he don't get too excited neither does Truffles.. but i'm not really sure anything excites Truffles.. he is really laid back. Watch for upcoming stories of "The Big Move"

Here it is ANOTHER rainey day in Florida and all of "The Magnificent 7" cats are inside: Dark, Mouse, Minnie, Truffles, Mr. Boots, Kiki and Sassea. We love to go out and chase lizards but with this rain all we can do is lay around and sleep.

Something strang is going on with Kiki.. She has decided to come out of hiding.. for about 2 years she has been living in one particular room in the house.. sleeping in a drawer.. having her own litter box, food and water dishes.. but for some reason now she is out hanging out with the other cats. One day she left her room and decided to hang out under the couch and sneak around to eat and potty... but now she uses the other 6 cats boxes and eats with them.. Sooo strange..

The "Cat's" Stuff I currently have 7 cats: Truffles (a gray and white Persian, rescued from the Humane Society), Kiki (A gray Tabby adopted from a mechanic shop), Mouse (An all gray DSH cat adopted from Domino's House), along with Minnie ( a gray and white DSH), Sassea (a Tortie), and Dark (an all black DSH). Then there's Mr. Boots broght to FL from TN after his owner got sick and family members threw him out.
